Paul King Wins June 6 Mock Session
It was more than a contest.
It was more than a gathering.
It was a collision of worship, revelation, conviction, and destiny.
On June 6, 2026, an unforgettable chapter unfolded as participants converged for the highly anticipated Mock Session at the Uyo Fellowship Center. The Session opened on a powerful note with an electrifying ministration by the choir. Thereafter, the President, Nsikan E. Johnny, mounted the podium and committed the entire session into God’s hands, dedicating the day’s activities to divine direction and impact.
Proceeding with the official opening, the President introduced the jury charged with evaluating the participants’ ministrations. The jury comprised Pastor Umah Ernest, Lizzy, and Pastor Moses.
After the Bible reading for the day, the President made the customary call for disciples and would-be disciples to step forward.
Without hesitation, fifteen enthusiastic participants answered the call, ready to prove their understanding of Scripture and demonstrate their ability to minister effectively.
Before advancing into the main contest, contestants were required to pass a preliminary biblical challenge. Drawing from Acts Chapter 10, President Johnny posed the question:
“How many persons did Cornelius send to bring Peter?”
Out of the fifteen participants, eleven correctly answered “three” and secured their spots in the main contest.
The contest then moved into its core phase as participants took turns ministering from various portions of Acts Chapter 11, each selecting a passage and delivering unique insights before the jury and audience.
Every ministration revealed something different – conviction, revelation, delivery, confidence, and depth.
At the end of the ministrations, two participants emerged at the top of the leaderboard.
Paul King and Elizabeth Njoku each earned an impressive 7 out of 10, resulting in a tie for first position.
Meanwhile, Emanuel Edward, Imedu Effiong, and Charles Michael each scored 6 out of 10, creating a three-way tie for third place.
To determine the overall winner and first runner-up, the President introduced a tie-breaker round. Paul King and Elizabeth Njoku were given five minutes each to minister from Exodus Chapter 30.
The atmosphere intensified as both contestants delivered their final ministrations before the jury. At the conclusion of the round, Paul King secured 6/10, while Elizabeth Njoku scored 4/10, officially crowning Paul King as Champion of the Day, with Elizabeth Njoku emerging as First Runner-Up.
Attention then shifted to resolving the tie for a third-place winner.
Drawing again from Scripture, the President asked the contestants a question from Acts Chapter 13:
“What was the name of the assistant who accompanied Paul and Barnabas on their missionary journeys?”
Demonstrating biblical knowledge and confidence, Charles Michael correctly answered John Mark, earning him the coveted third-place position.
The event reached its grand and celebratory finale with the presentation of prize cheques to the top three winners.
For his outstanding performance and emergence as champion, Paul King received a cheque of ₦250,000.00.
Elizabeth Njoku, who secured second place, went home with ₦100,000.00, while Charles Michael, the third-place winner, received ₦50,000.00.
Beyond the prizes, the Mock Session once again affirmed its mission of discovering ministerial gifts, building disciples’ confidence, and creating a platform where the Word of God is correctly preached, taught, and celebrated.
As the fellowship came to a close, one message remained clear: the journey of discipleship continues, and more voices are being prepared to make an impact.
