Justina Obot Tops Sept. 6 Session

Ten eager participants indicated interest to participate in the September 6, 2025 Mock session. To eliminate the number to seven, the President put their Biblical knowledge to the test with a question from Matthew 14: “What was the name of Herod’s brother?”

Seven of the participants answered correctly, identifying Philip as Herod’s brother, and proceeded to the next round; which was the actual competition.

In the 5-minute word ministration session, participants were scored based on their performance.
The Top Scorers were as follows:
– Ekaete Usenobong(6/10)
– Justina Obot (6/10)
– Joshua (5/10)
– Esther Daniel (5/10)
– Joseph Edet (5/10)

The two participants who scored 5/10 each, Joshua and Esther Daniel, were asked a follow-up question:
“When Herod heard of the report concerning Jesus performing miracles, what did he say to his servants?”
Unfortunately, both participants failed to answer correctly, citing Herod’s statement about John the Baptist’s resurrection.

Another question was posed to determine the third and fourth positions:
“What was the name of Herod’s brother’s wife that Herod married?”
Joseph Obot correctly answered Herodias, securing the third position, while Joshua took the fourth spot.

Final Round: Preaching Session
The top two scorers, Ekaete and Justina Obot, were given a Bible passage to preach on for 5 minutes each. The jury evaluated their performances, and the scores were as follows:
– Ekaete Usenobong: 3/10 (She referenced an unrelated Bible passage in her presentation)
– Justina Obot: 4/10 (delivered a stronger presentation)

And the Winner Is…

Justina Obot emerged as the overall winner of the September 6 Mock session, demonstrating exceptional Bible knowledge.

The Mock session concluded with participants receiving feedback/words of encouragement from the President and Cash prizes won from the September 20th mock session were as follows: ₦200,000 – Justina Obot , ₦100,000- Ekaete Usenobong.
