Precious Eyo Wins Nov. 15 Session

In a thrilling display of biblical knowledge, Precious Eyo emerged as the winner of the November 15 Mock Session, taking home a whopping ₦200,000.00 prize. The session, designed to test biblical knowledge, drew 16 eager participants, and Precious proved to be a standout disciple.

To qualify for the competition, each participant had to answer a preliminary question drawn from Matthew 12: When Jesus’ disciples plucked ears of grain to eat, what did the Pharisees say to Him? Surprisingly, before any of the contestant’s answers was checked, a worshiper, who was not participating, gave the correct answer and earned an instant cash reward of ₦10,000.

Out of the 16 original contenders, 12 participants successfully answered the qualifying question and advanced to the next stage. The main session required each contestant to present a short message from Amos 7, after which they were scored based on accuracy, depth, clarity, and delivery.

As the juries scored, the competition tightened. Two participants scored 3/10, three scored 4/10, one participant earned 4.5/10, while two others recorded 5/10 and 5.5/10 respectively. By this point, the race narrowed to five participants who showed notable strength in both content and expression.

Standing out among them was Precious Eyo, who secured a commendable 7/10, making her the clear winner. Close behind her were Imedu Effiong, Christian, and Mr. Udofia, all three tied with 6/10, while Joseph Edet, with his 5.5/10, comfortably held fifth place.

With Precious already crowned the front-runner, attention shifted to the intense battle for the second, third, and fourth positions. To break the tie, the President posed another question – this time also from Matthew 12: How can you make a tree good? But even after repeated attempts, the tied participants were unable to provide the expected answer.

Not ready to give up, the President introduced two more quiz questions in hopes of separating the three contenders. Yet, despite the effort, all three participants remained tied, unable to gain an edge over one another. Recognizing their effort and wishing to maintain fairness, the President made a practical decision: the prize for second, third, and fourth place would be merged and split evenly among the three contestants.

This unexpected turn impressed the audience, who applauded the spirit of sportsmanship and the friendly atmosphere that defined the competition from start to finish.

The highlight of the day, however, remained Precious Eyo’s outstanding presentation. Her message from Amos 7 was described as spotless, articulate, and deeply insightful. According to the President, “Her score was well-deserved. She demonstrated clarity, depth, and conviction.”

At the close of the session, Precious was presented with a ₦200,000 cheque, marking the culmination of her excellent performance. She was warmly celebrated by the President, the audience and fellow participants.

The November 15 mock session not only showcased the rich biblical knowledge of the participants but also their passion, preparation, and commitment to spiritual excellence. As the audience dispersed and participants congratulated one another, one thing was clear: the spirit of learning, competition, and fellowship remains very much alive – and the next session promises to be even more exciting.
